Course Description
This is a postgraduate course in the theory and practice of public administration as a discipline. Although students taking this course should preferably have some background knowledge in a cognate discipline, this is, however, not a course in social administration, social work and welfare studies, sociology, communication, international trade, and economics. Students will acquire knowledge of major theoretical advances in the discipline and practical knowledge from empirical studies related to administrative reforms since the 18th century in developed countries. The course assesses student's ability to "marry" concepts and theories to the empirical studies in public administration.
