Course Description
This course is an introduction to the governmental structures, political cultures, and policy-making processes that characterize European countries and the European Union. Case studies include the European Union, its member states, as well as other countries.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify the general patterns and trends of contemporary European politics, including the European Union and major European states.
CILO-2: Illustrate the key concepts and theories of political science, with regard to various aspects of European politics, such as the parliament, the executive, parties, elections, and public policies.
CILO-3: Analyze major cases, policies, and issues of European politics, with sufficient analytical skills.
CILO-4: Evaluate and argue for possible solutions to cases, policies and issues of European politics in the real world.
