Course Description
A study of the theory, research and practice related to human behavior in public sector organizations. A number of topics will be examined within the context of the civil service structure, including: the causes and effects of interpersonal and group behavior, its dynamics and influences, organizational behavior relating to organizational climates, organizational culture, formal and informal organizations, conflicts and resolutions, and people-oriented management.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify factors attributing individual behaviour in public sector.
CILO-2: Analyze the complexities associated with management of individual behaviour in public sector.
CILO-3: Acquire basic knowledge of appropriate leadership styles in public sector.
CILO-4: Analyze managerial tools shaping individual behaviour in public sector for the improvement of organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
