Course Description
This course is intended to introduce overall awareness of product design process. It will give an understanding of methods, tools and techniques applied in product design that can captures customer voice from the society. Moveover, the student will learn about heuristic problem-solving, the usefulness of design models, taking the design from concept to prototype, overview of innovation, aspects of human factors in product design for creative concept generation, evaluation techniques for user-product interaction. It will be explained with lectures including case studies and hands-on exercises. This will help students to generate creative ideas into product design with human factor aspects.

CILO-1: Work on multidisciplinary teams of innovative product design project.
CILO-2: Communicate effectively with society for capturing customer or end-user voice.
CILO-3: Use the computer/IT tools relevant to the discipline along with an understanding of their processes and limitations for product design.
