This course covers the structure, functions, operations and regulations of financial markets and institutions. Topics include money market; bond market; stock market; foreign exchange market; commercial banks; mutual funds; pension funds; investment banks; insurance companies and venture capital firms. Upon completion of the course, student will have developed a comprehensive understanding of the fundaments of various financial markets and financial institutions.

CILO-1: Explain the fundamentals of various financial markets such as the Money Markets, Bond Market, Stock Market and Foreign Exchange Market. CILO-2: Describe and identify various financial institutions through topics in Commercial Banks, Mutual Funds, Investment Banks, Insurance Companies and Venture Capital Firms.
