Course Description
One or more courses may be offered as a Special Topic in English Literary Studies. These may include a continuation of the Practice of Scholarship course, focusing on the experience of submitting papers to an academic journal; a course on the history of the book and print culture that focuses on historical texts and the modes of their production; advanced topics on a specific area of English literary studies; or a special topic in Translation Studies.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Demonstrate familiarity with theories of literature and literary criticism and key concepts involved in the field.
CILO-2: Summarize the the disciplinary development, its relationship with adjacent disciplines, and the correlation between different approaches to literature.
CILO-3: Apply major methodologies to their own research.
CILO-4: Present their research effectively in a thesis related to what has been discussed in class.
