Students selected for the Research Report class will work on a research topic of their choice over one semester. Thesis topics will be selected and developed under the supervision of a staff member with whom the student will meet regularly. The length of the report will usually be between five and eight thousand words.

CILO-1: Demonstrate knowledge advanced knowledge in a chosen field of academic study within the disciplines of literature, linguistics, or translation. CILO-2: Plan and execute the research project within the chosen area. CILO-3: Identify, gather, and organize information and materials related to report writing. CILO-4: Develop and apply technological skills in online searches and retrieval, bibliographical database management and data entry, and in using writing software such as Endnote and other applications, as appropriate. CILO-5: Develop and apply skills in citation and documentation consistent with academic work in the field.
