Course Description
The course delves into a comprehensive study of the fundamental concepts governing the behavior of fluids. It aims to provide in-depth understanding of the complex phenomena occurring in viscous flows. Beginning with a review of the conservation laws, students will explore the mathematical formulation of fluid flows, like Navier-Stokes equations and their analytical solutions and approximate solutions for some cases. This course discusses the boundary layer theory and analyzes incompressible laminar and turbulent flows.
