Course Description
Introduction to sensors and actuators, especially flexible devices. These sensors and actuators have wide applications in wearable electronics, Internet of Things, robotics, and mobile health, etc. This course prepares students to work professionally in academic researching or companies focusing on advanced technology.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Apply fabrication technologies of flexible electronics to design and develop efficient and reliable electromechanical sensors and actuators.
CILO-2: Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team to design sensors and actuators based on electrostatic or piezoelectric effects.
CILO-3: Recognize and articulate, key technical challenges in human-machine interaction.
CILO-4: Design and construct flexible sensors and actuators that fulfill bidirectional interactive needs within realistic constraints.
