Course Description
This course introduces the concepts, methods and applications of prognostics and health management (PHM) for engineering system. A variety of tools and techniques for developing health management and monitoring of components and systems will be discussed. Topics include sensor signal acquisition, signals processing, feature extraction, fault diagnosis, data driven prognostics models, reliability, intelligent maintenance, and applications of artificial intelligence in prognostics and health management.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Apply signal processing and intelligent analysis principles, particularly in the areas of intelligent system, to design and develop efficient and reliable mechanical system.
CILO-2: Utilize signal processing and intelligent analyzing technologies to analyze and interpret experimental data.
CILO-3: Recognize, articulate, and address prognostic health and safety management and problems encountered in the electromechanial engineering through the application of signal processing and machine learning technologies.
