Course Description
This course covers basics of fluid flow and hydro-mechanics, advanced pneumatic power systems, and advanced hydraulic power systems. Students will learn about fluidics, fluid logic control circuits, modelling of fluid power systems, and fluid power system control. By the end of the course, students will be able to conduct dynamic analysis and simulation of fluid power systems.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Apply fluid mechanics and control engineering principles to develop and analyze fluid power systems.
CILO-2: Utilize fluid power tools and PLC to conduct experiments, and interpret experimental data.
CILO-3: Design a fluid power system or component to meet desired engineering specification within realistic constraints.
CILO-4: Design and simulate fluid power systems using MatLab Simulink or the latest computer-aided design and simulation software.
