Course Description
This course covers fundamental heat transfer and fluid flow, foundation of numerical simulations , principles of solution of the governing equations, spatial discretisation, and temporal discretisation. Students will learn about boundary conditions, consistency, accuracy, stability, principles of grid generation. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply the knowledge in engineering system.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Apply the knowledge of heat transfer and fluid flow to predict the desired flow physics.
CILO-2: Use various algorithms to calculate the flow field.
CILO-3: Use computational method to investigate heat transfer and fluid flow and other related processes that occur in engineering system.
