Course Description
Convective is one of the three fundamental heat transfer modes and occurs in almost all branches of engineering applications. This course will cover the equations of convective heat transfer, the differential equation for the boundary layer, the integral equation of the boundary layer, momentum and heat transfer for the laminar internal and external flow, the momentum and heat transfer for the turbulent internal and external flow, natural and mixed convections. In addition, special topics about the most recent researches and developments in convection will be introduced.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Formulate and solve convective heat transfer problem in common geometries.
CILO-2: Design the processes or systems to solve convective heat transfer related engineering problems.
CILO-3: Conduct experiments to intepret and analyze data relevant to convective heat transfer.
