Changes in educational technology and neuroscience are dramatically affecting the way students learn and the way schools are organized. The first part of this course is designed for K–12 educational leaders who want to initiate and implement technological change at the district and regional levels. The second part of this course will integrate research from neuroscience to transform the school into a learning organization. By integrating the latest technologies and instructional design principles, students can prepare to develop and lead technology-supported solutions to learning issues in the K–12 classroom, and leadership challenges in K-12 school settings.

CILO-1: Apply effective technology strategies to support and optimize learning. CILO-2: Implement appropriate organizational system changes with the help of technology in response to diverse local and/or global community needs. CILO-3: Gain knowledge and understanding of learning from scientific perspectives of mind and brain. CILO-4: Understand the impact of classroom, family, and community effect on student’ learning. CILO-5: Understand the impact of education and learning on the brain process underlying cognition, language, social and emotional development. CILO-6: Design learning strategy that stimulate students learning outcome and improve efficiency. CILO-7: Assess the status of teaching and learning using learning metric.
