Course Description
The course covers the practical aspects of school administration and management, with emphasis on personnel, finance and other resources, in order to equip students with a system of strategies for school expansion, leadership, administration, public relations, professional development and parental participation. Pre-requisite: None
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Classify the concepts of organization, leadership, planning, coordination, supervision and evaluation of educational operation and administration.
CILO-2: Differentiate major functions of educational managers in the administration of school personnel, finance, budget, plant, teaching, learning, discipline, assessment and evaluation policies, programs and activities.
CILO-3: Integrate management knowledge and skills to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of goal-setting, decision-making, accountability, communication, collaboration, development and appraisal processes in educational organizations.
CILO-4: Analyse and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to improve the outcome of school-based learning, teaching, assessment, staff development, resource allocation, school safety, legal compliance and other management measures.
