Course Description
This course critically introduces and analyses Chinese literature, and cultivates the ability to appreciate and teach it on the part of students. Teaching materials are mainly classics from Pre-Qin Dynasty to the 20th Century. The teaching mode is to guide students to read, appreciate, and analyse genres such as poetry, prose, fiction and opera, and to sum up the teaching points concerned such as writing style, theme manifestation, story tension, characterization, and plot organization.
