本科旨在讓學生認識近現代中國在政治、經濟、社會等方面的重要歷史事件及變化，相關的課程及教學方法，亦會涉及，使學生能應付日後在中學教授歷史課程之用。The course provides an introduction to the history of modern China, with an emphasis on the processes of economic, political and social transformations. Through a systematic introduction to historical events, they are expected to become competent history teachers.

CILO-1: 學生了解中國近現代史發展的主要變化，認識澳門現行中國近現代史之課程內容，並可把相關之教學方法應用在課堂教學上。
