Course Description
Technology is affecting all aspects of society including early childhood classroom and lives of young children including parents. Early childhood educators need to be literate in technology in order to empower them to use technology effectively in early childhood settings. In order for educators to make informed and appropriate decision, this course aims to cover current issues in the field of technology integration in early childhood education using authentic contexts. Topics include essentials conditions of technology integration, learning theory and its integration strategy, common and emerging technologies in early childhood classroom together with instructional planning skills.

CILO-1: Explain the essential conditions of technology integration and examine the possibility of a kindergarten to integrate a specific technology
CILO-2: Explain technology integration practice with reference to learning theories.
CILO-3: Make decision on issues of technology in early childhood settings.
CILO-4: Devise how to apply various technologies in classroom with clear rationale.
CILO-5: Design lessons with the integration of technology in early childhood education settings.
