Course Description
This course helps students understand the importance of movement for the different aspects (physical, affective and cognitive) of child development. The course gives equal stress on theories and practice. It enables student to put knowledge into practice through engaging in group discussion, planning movement station lessons, and designing movement programmes.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Design unit plans and movement programs for young children for a semester.
CILO-2: Organize physical education class activities for preschoolers using various modes.
CILO-3: Implement the direct and indirect teaching styles in movement program.
CILO-4: Identify theories of developmental physical education, motor learning and fitness to young children.
CILO-5: Appraise the teaching and learning process for physical education lessons in preschool settings.
