Course Description
This course mainly emphasizes theory and practice in the integration of music and movement. Students will be introduced and acquainted with basic music theories, rhythms, music teaching methods, and materials in the music activities and body movement for children. Moreover, students will be familiarized with the techniques used in rhythm, songs, group dances, and creative movement activities in the class. By the end of the semester, students will not only be able to demonstrate utilizing the understanding of fundamentals of music theory and knowledge in the music activities, but will also be able to creatively apply the concepts in the music activities and movements.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Being able to familiar with all the rhythmic patterns and apply them in music.
CILO-2: Being able to write down different rhythms.
CILO-3: Being able to integrate music and movement along with music creatively.
CILO-4: Being able to acquainted with the basic music theory and rhythms.
