Course Description
Piano II is the advanced course for those who attained Piano I or those with an equivalent level of achievement, i.e., Grade 2 in ABRSM#. In continuing with Piano II, students are required to learn and perform the techniques and repertoire suggested for ABRSM’s Grade 3 level. Advanced techniques and exercises in this course include more scales and chord progression, terms and expression, sight reading, and simple keyboard harmony practice. Students are required to play six to eight pieces of piano repertoire from different styles to demonstrate their mastery of skill. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate their piano-playing skills at the Grade 3 level (ABRSM). Students are not allowed to take Piano I simultaneously.
