This course is designed to help students to reflect on the social and education systems of Macau since the foundation of New China in 1949. By applying sociological and political concepts and theories, the course will analyse the discourses and development experiences of Macau. The course materials will be based on the accumulated research findings and publications related to the said period. It is intended to assist students in having a broader and more penetrating understanding of Macau society and its educational system.
