Course Description
The major goal of this course is to get students familiar with frontier research in selected areas in economics and to motivate them to begin their own research.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Analyze complex economic systems and phenomena, including their underlying principles and mechanisms.
CILO-2: Evaluate economic policies and their impacts on various stakeholders, and to identify potential trade-offs and unintended consequences.
CILO-3: Apply economic models to real-world problems, and to critically assess the assumptions and limitations of different models.
CILO-4: Communicate the economic analysis effectively, both in writing and through oral presentations, using appropriate technical terminology and data visualization techniques.
