Course Description
This course introduces students to advanced topics in Internet of Things. The detailed contents may change from year to year depending on current developments and teacher specialization.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Apply knowledge of mathematics, sensing, and network technologies to Internet of Things problems.
CILO-2: Design and implement optimization and control methods to industry application scenarios, e.g., smart grid, smart agriculture, smart building, and smart campus.
CILO-3: Develop optimization and control models for Internet of Things, and write short academic articles in an area.
CILO-4: Implement and compare different sensing, communication, optimization or control methods for Internet of Things, and present the investigation results in an oral discussion.
CILO-5: Evaluate and apply distibuted optimization and control methods on hardware platform, e.g., Raspberry Pi and Arduino, to achieve hardware-in-the-loop in practical environments.
