Course Description
This course provides students with the current development of new technologies in biomedical engineering, including the basic knowledge in microfluidics and the latest information of its application in biomedical engineering. Critical Thinking and problem solving skills are developed in this lecture together with laboratory practices.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Recongize the state of the art knowledge in the development of biomedical engineering.
CILO-2: Recongize new technologies in the field of biomedical engineering.
CILO-3: Explain the working principles of microfluidics/fMRI, including PDMS based channel microfluidics and electronic based digital microfluidics.
CILO-4: Illustrate various biological applications of biomedical technologies.
CILO-5: Develop a self-learning capability and a multidisciplinary research mind.
