Course Description
The course introduces the fundamental knowledge on the design, implementation and evaluation of a robot and its sub-systems. It covers the basic principles of analog and digital circuits as well as robot sensing and control mechanisms. Students have to apply the knowledge and principles learned to design and build a functional robot by the end of the course.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering.
CILO-2: An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.
CILO-3: An ability to use the computer/IT tools relevant to the discipline along with an understanding of their processes and limitations.
