Course Description
This course provides students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of all aspects of public relations, including public relations practices in business, education and government with an emphasis on public relations principles: identifying target publics, press relations, cost management and planning public relations programmes.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify, define, and analyze key public relations issues and strategies, recognizing their implications and applications in diverse professional contexts.
CILO-2: Discuss key points of public relations theories, principles, and concepts, and apply this knowledge to address real-world PR challenges and opportunities.
CILO-3: Discuss key points of the relevant literature on public relations issues and strategies, integrating insights from scholarly research and practical case studies.
CILO-4: Apply descriptive, analytical, and critical thinking skills to assess contemporary organizations' public relations strategies, goal-setting, and activities, evaluating their effectiveness and potential areas for improvement.
CILO-5: Plan, design, and implement public relations strategies tailored to the needs and objectives of selected organizations, taking into account various stakeholder interests and communication channels.
