Course Description
This course guides students to enrich their knowledge and skills for more in-depth news writing and reporting. Advanced techniques of news reporting, investigative reporting, and personality profiles will be covered including advanced skills in dealing with news sources, interviewing, library search, and computer assisted reporting (CAR). The course also places a significant emphasis on online news reporting and publishing, providing students with basic knowledge and skills of designing and managing news websites.

CILO-1: Identify key points of journalism and digital media theories, and apply these frameworks to analyze and evaluate contemporary media practices and trends.
CILO-2: Compare and contrast different approaches, styles, and ethical considerations for regional and international journalism practices.
CILO-3: Explain the interconnections between various aspects of electronic journalism and other media forms, and discuss the broader implications for journalism practice, audience engagement, and media convergence.
