Course Description
This course focuses on the history of Chinese Communication developments, special features of Chinese communication structure, trends and issues of Chinese media, traditional and modern. Both behavioral and historical approaches will be utilized in such analysis. Emphasis is on contemporary China.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify key points of communication patterns and cultural dynamics in Macau, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China, taking into account their historical, social, and political contexts.
CILO-2: Identify key theoretical frameworks and research approaches in the field of communication and culture in Greater China, integrating insights from influential scholars and experts.
CILO-3: Summarize the interconnections and complexities of Greater China's communication systems, cultural practices, and socio-political landscapes, emphasizing contemporary developments and challenges.
CILO-4: Design and implement a research that formulates research questions, objectives, and methodologies properly, related to communication and culture in Greater China.
