This course teaches students advanced video production skills, including two or more camera setup, interview techniques, special effects, as well as visual and narrative theories. The format of instruction includes lectures, discussions, presentations, exercises and screenings; it strongly encourages active participation and interaction. Critical and independent thinking is emphasized. Students are required to complete small video projects. Completed works will be exhibited publicly.

CILO-1: Produce a 10 to 15 minute narrative short film in a group. CILO-2: Analyze the structure of a script and make production breakdowns accordingly. CILO-3: Organize a film crew by division of duties and thus learn the essence of teamwork through real practice. CILO-4: Distinguish film language and different production aspects, such as producing, directing, acting, cinematography, set design, sound recording, editing and screening.
