Course Description
This course teaches students graphic design software as well as related digital technologies. Students will examine the history of various media, from online applications to video games, with an eye toward aesthetics, critical thinking, and creativity. Students will study both the production and reception of contemporary multimedia as well as learning to produce it themselves.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify a variety of tools and resources for creating and manipulating multimedia design work and adapt to rapidly changing technology.
CILO-2: Deliver content for web, video games, commercials and other interactive applications with digital graphic design skills taking advantage of innovations in multimedia design.
CILO-3: Create interactive interfaces using 2D design software and browser-based applications for special effects, audio, video and motion graphics.
CILO-4: Think creatively, make decisions, apply problem solving skills and participate with productively respond to critique of multimedia work.
CILO-5: Create well-designed multimedia projects to convey their idea and concept. Complete their own 2D and 3D portfolio with various kind of media productions.
