Course Description
In this course students will learn photography through hands-on instruction and exercises. Students will learn to think critically about visual culture, subject/object relationships, and theories of representation. Such genres as photojournalism, picture editorial, and portrait photography may be introduced.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Familiar with the basic operation, technical concepts and functions of DSLR camera (e.g. aperture, shutter speed, exposure and the mode dial) for daily photo-taking.
CILO-2: Use the knowledge depth of field, composition techniques, symbol, punctum and studium to appreciate the value of master pieces.
CILO-3: Recognize the nature of photography and gradually construct their own road of photographic style.
