Course Description
Health policy assessment is the systematic evaluation of the properties and effects of a health policy, addressing the direct and intended effects of this policy approach, indicated its indirect and unintended consequences, and aimed mainly at policy decision making regarding health services. It including method of evidence synthesis that considers evidence regarding clinical effectiveness, safety, cost-effectiveness and, health applications, includes social, ethical, and legal aspects of the use of health policy.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Explain the concepts of the dimensions of value for a health policy in difference decision-making context.
CILO-2: Describe interventions developed to prevent, diagnose or treat medical conditions; promote health; provide rehabilitation; and organize healthcare delivery.
CILO-3: Explain and select appropriate modeling methods for evidence-based health policy development.
CILO-4: Execute the health technology assessment method to compare healthcare interventions.
CILO-5: Formulate a health policy using a standardized framework.
CILO-6: Evaluate the overall value of health policy from the perspectives of difference key stakeholders.
