This course explores current special topics in geotechnical engineering, such as site characterization, instrumentation, ground improvement and remediation. Topics vary with each offering and are disseminated before registration.

CILO-1: Identify and analyze current trends and emerging technologies in instrumentation and monitoring in geotechnical engineering. CILO-2: Identify the different categories of instruments and the situations for their applications. CILO-3: Design an instrumentation plan for a geotechnical engineering project.
