Course Description
The course introduces about the principal legal problems generated by recent development in information technology and electronic commerce, and the possible solutions. Topics include privacy and data protection, patents and copyrights, contractual and tortious liability, and computer fraud.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Communicate the legal issues of e-commerce, such as electronic contracts and smart contracts, intellectual properties, data security and privacy, product liability and litigation, regulatory compliance, in both written and verbal formats effectively.
CILO-2: Access and compare different ethical and legal problems in information technology and e-commerce.
CILO-3: Analyse, discuss and resolve case-based legal issues in e-commerce.
