Set Theory, Logic, Counting, Relations, Graph Theory, and other topics. Students will be trained in developing skills in mathematics, such as formulating problems, abstraction and proof methods.

CILO-1: An ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the programme outcomes and to the discipline. CILO-2: An ability to apply knowledge of a computing specialisation, and domain knowledge appropriate for the computing specialisation to the abstraction and conceptualisation of computing models. CILO-3: An ability to analyse a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution. CILO-4: An ability to recognize the need for and an ability to engage in continuing professional development.
