This course provides the foundation in economics. The major topics include microeconomics, macroeconomics and international economics. Appropriate references will be made to current issues in Macao, China and the international economy.

CILO-1: This course is designed to teach the basic principles of economics to Master students from non-economics undergraduate background. CILO-2: It could also serve as a quick review course for students who have learned primary economics knowledge. CILO-3: It will introduce students to elementary microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts and provides them with an economic framework to understand the workings of individual decision-making units and aggregate economy.
