Course Description
In this course, the concepts and principles for the sustainable development shall be introduced. The impact of energy and environment on the sustainable society shall be discussed. The utilization and recycle of natural resources shall be introduced. The relationship among economics, climate, energy, and environment shall be presented.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Students will be able to describe the complexity of sustainable development issues.
CILO-2: Students will be able to introduce the key concepts and terminology commonly used in sustainable development.
CILO-3: Students will be able to explain the main principles and values of the three main ‘pillars’ of sustainable development: economy, ecology, and society.
CILO-4: Students will be able to describe the philosophical and political history of the emergence of sustainable development and address sustainable development issues.
