This course will give a general picture of energy society and different energy storage technologies, while focusing on some major ones (battery, capacitor, hydrogen and fuel cell). Some principles and important progress in energy storage technologies will be introduced in this course.

CILO-1: Students will be able to explain main concepts of the cutting-edge energy storage technologies. CILO-2: Students will be able to describe, analyze and compare different storage technologies from aspects of advantages and disadvantages of different concepts. CILO-3: Students will be able to explain and apply some important principles in rechargeable batteries, hydrogen and fuel cell, and super capacitors for possible applications for the society.
