The course aims at an introduction to basic principles of nanophysics allowing working in research and development in nanotechnology. Students will learn basic principle of physics of nanometer-size systems with a focus on basic physical phenomena.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Summarize and explain the Physics at nanoscale and know how to explain the physical phenomena related to the quantum confinement effect.
CILO-2: Interpret the electronic structure in low-dimension and electronic transport of low-dimensional semiconductors.
CILO-3: Describe the thermal transport in low-dimensional materials.
CILO-4: Describe the typical low-dimensional structures and novel phenomena and technology at low-dimensions.
