This course is designed to offer visiting scholars, or existing staff, the opportunity to offer postgraduate level students courses in their particular area of specialization. The topic and content of the courses will vary from year to year depending on the availability of expert staff. Examples of specialized topics that may be offered include: Second Language Reading; Intercultural Language Education; Teaching English for Academic Purposes; Teaching Business English; etc.

CILO-1: Engage with primary research literature on the special topic. CILO-2: Describe and discuss the research findings. CILO-3: Apply these findings methodically to a specified teaching situation.
