This course will introduce students to approaches to literary translation. Students will learn to identify the linguistic, stylistic and cultural features of literary texts as well as to formulate strategies for translating those literary works. Students are trained to examine the particularities of different literary genres, such as fiction, prose and poetry, and the special strategies required for their translation. Seminars will be conducted for practice of translating various literary texts.
